Training and Certification in Industrial Safety and Civil Defense (IS/CD)
Industrial Safety refers to the condition of protecting the physical and legal entities and the environment from harmful effects of hazardous production factors.
Civil Defense is a nationwide set of measures carried out in peacetime and wartime, aimed at preventing and eliminating emergencies of natural and man-made origin and their consequences. This includes organizing and conducting civil defense, providing emergency medical and psychological assistance to the population in emergency situations, as well as activities related to fire and industrial safety, and the formation, storage, and use of state material reserves.
The definitions are stipulated by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Civil Defense” dated April 11, 2014, No. 188-V, Article 1.
The names of the courses in industrial safety are partially based on the provisions of the “Unified Tariff and Qualification Reference Book of Jobs and Professions of Workers” (68 volumes, more than 18,000 job titles).
The term “Dangerous Production Facility” is indicated in Articles 70 and 71 of the Law “On Civil Defense” of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 11, 2014, No. 188-V, as well as in the Order of the Minister of Investments and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 30, 2014, No. 353 “On Approval of the Rules for the Identification of Dangerous Production Facilities.”
Training Courses in Industrial Safety and Civil Defense
• Basic training for specialists and workers of dangerous production facilities and other organizations on industrial safety.
• Retraining and advanced qualification courses for specialists, workers, and other organizations on industrial safety at hazardous production facilities.
• General course on legislation and regulatory framework in the field of industrial safety and civil defense for managerial positions, technical managers, specialists, and engineering and technical staff.
